Orphanage Project in Cameroon

There are many needy and disadvantaged children living in Cameroon who were abandoned . Many of those children, especially many street children, do not have Cameroonian relatives, but originally come from neighboring countries. Churches as well as NGOs and individuals are trying to improve the circumstances of those orphans through their humanitarian aid. Volunteers help the kids with their homework, teach English and German as well as computer skills. Creative activities like sports, music, art and other outdoor activities are always welcome. You will be involved in every part of the orphans’ lives. Besides, the children should be taught about HIV / AIDS and receive sex education. If you are medically experienced you are free to help out in the hospital in the city centre as well.

Accommodation and Meals:

Volunteers are usually accommodated by hosting families. You will receive three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) there and eat together with the family. Hence you get to know the eating habits of Cameroonians and you will receive an intense insight into the culture of Western Africa.
