This multifunctional Rehab-Center takes great care of people with special needs. The center focuses on the Kindergarten and the elementary school. 75% of the school’s pupils are disabled children who need professional staff members to take care of them. Teacher working there, however, never received such education. The Rehab-Center also offers consulting, an operating room and a hospital division. The working staff is always overworked. There is no doubt that volunteers are always appreciated. Besides, the centre produces prostheses. It also gives shelter to more than 30 people who were abandoned by their families. Everyone  willing and able to help those disabled people, to give them a new self-esteem, is welcome! Qualified volunteers, e.g. nurses, physiotherapists, teacher etc. contribute just as much as unprofessional volunteers. Those may organize free time activities or HIV / AIDS educational campaigns.

Volunteers are usually accommodated by hosting families. You will receive three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) there and eat together with the family. Hence you get to know the eating habits of Cameroonians and you will receive an intense insight into the culture of Western Africa.
