Construction Project in Ecuador
If you are looking for an experience that is worth its effort and that makes physical fitness necessary, you should join the Construction Project in Ecuador where needy families are provided with proper houses. Many Ecuadorian families live in overcrowded homes that are below standards and in unhealthy conditions. With your help several families get the chance to move into proper accommodation. Volunteers help repairing fences and roofs, support to construction work of water pipes, buildings etc. You help digging, mixing sand and cement and transport stones, sand and bricks. You will become a member of the volunteers’ team. Many times you will work together with the locals and thereby learn traditional methods of constructing and renovating.
Accommodation and Meals:
Volunteers are placed in carefully picked host families. You have your own room and three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with your host family every day. Furthermore, your laundry will be done once a week for you. You will be integrated completely into the family and take part in their activities as well. Hence you will receive a unique insight into the culture and population of Ecuador. You will have the chance to prove and improve you Spanish skills day to day. Your host family might be a married couple or a single person with or without children and / or pets.
