Cameroon is distinguished by its diverseness. On an area of some 475,442 km2 you can find various landscapes, more than 200 population groups, modern cities as well as traditional villages, palaces, beautiful beaches, tropical rain forests and tall mountains. You will find about anything Africa has to offer in this country!
Nevertheless, Cameroon is a country that faces a lot of challenges.
The educational system is not the best and like other African countries corruption, crime and diseases are huge problems throughout the country. Foreign help can change a lot. As a volunteer you have the opportunity to work in several different fields and work towards a better future for all Cameroonians.
