Community Manager

ABOUT US

We are a young internet start-up from Vienna, Austria, setting out to shape blogging and the exchange of articles, on a global scale. We're developing an online-publishing platform and news community and are about to set up our new office in London. We’re a team of highly motivated young professionals with a core team of six developers and we are now, after over a year of development and thorough testing, in the early stage and about to expand towards an international audience.

TASKS

We're looking for a community manager with responsibility towards the fast growing user base, in terms of community management, support and marketing, as well as editorial responsibility. We're looking for someone who is eager to work independently and flexible, able to cope with changing situations and scenarios.

SKILLS NEEDED

As the platform is currently operating in English and German, both languages have to be fluent. Additional languages are highly welcome. Experience in the publishing sector would be very helpful. Knowledge of computers as well as general understanding of internet and software applications is obligatory and experience with graphic design (photoshop) beneficial. A basic understanding of accounting is not required but could be used to expand the work into other operating areas.

SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

You will be part of one of the most promising European start-ups, where you will learn to communicate with a large number of customers on an international scale. You will be trained in editorial decision making, ultimately having extensive editorial responsibility yourself. Most importantly, you will gain first-hand experience in running and building a company. Working closely with the CEO you will gain insight knowledge of the day to day operating decision making as well as fundraising, public relations, and general operating activity. Depending on your particular fields of interest you will have the opportunity to develop your own set of skills further, all of that on a highly professional level.
