Internship with Global Email and Mobile Marketing Service Provider

About us:

We are a hosted email marketing solution offering integrated email, mobile and social media marketing solutions.  We give clients access to the tools they need to create, manage and monitor their own email and mobile marketing campaign.   Our hosted email marketing solution is used by customers such as Cosmopolitan, SA Airlink, Europcar and the American Medical Association since 2002. It is available in ten languages and is represented by 17 offices globally. 

Our marketing department is looking for a new intern to help them with communications and brand marketing on their US, South African and Canadian markets. The internship is based in the operational head quarter at Cape Town, South Africa.

Internship description:

• Assisting in marketing research in US and SA markets
• Help with online marketing material, such as content pages, blogs, copy writing
• Editing and copy writing to improve on the user interface (software application)
• Assistance with offline marketing material such as videos, PDFs, print ads, advertorials
• Administrative work (creating and managing of Google docs, Excel sheets)
• Opportunity to learn more and assist in the areas of search engine optimization (SEO) and Google Adwords

Prerequisites:

• Your mother tongue is English - you're a good communicator and you love writing
• You have a background in media, marketing, commerce or languages
• You're creative, you're quick to grasp new concepts and systems, and you can work independently 
• You're used to multi-tasking 
• You are at home "on the web" - good internet knowledge
• You can use all the basic computer programmes
• You might have some knowledge in basic HTML coding
• We give preference to someone who has experience with the US market
