o   200 Rand per hour / per person:          Private lesson (preferable)

o   180 Rand per hour / per person:          2 People

o   150 Rand per hour / per person:          3 People

o   100 Rand per hour / per person:          4 People (maximum)

Material

You get everything (wetsuit, harness, shoes, etc.)! We teach kitesurfing with different Top-Material from 2006. We have Slingshots 9, 11, 13, 17 sqm and Roberto Ricci Kites 9 sqm as well as different boards.

How long does it take to learn kitesurfing?

It is difficult to say but the average talent needs about 10 to 15 hours (effective learning hours). There are people who learn faster and there are people who need a bit longer. The people who are getting hooked will never stop!

What does a course look like?

Usually we start in the morning (around 9.00) because the wind picks up during noon / afternoon. An effective kitesurf day contains about 4 to 5 hours depending on the weather conditions, so you usually need 2 to 4 days (2 weekends). If we have super conditions we will offer lessons in the morning and in the afternoon (Crash Course).But we experienced that most  kitesurf beginners are washed out and tired after 4 hours and lose their power of concentration.Whoever is eager and motivated is more than welcome tp go on. In the first hour it's a theoretical introduction and then it comes the fun part: First just steering the kite to get a feeling how the kite reacts. Afterwards you do the buddy-drag and then you already get a board.

When and where does a course usually take place?

A kitesurf-course mostly takes place on a weekend in Table Bay, Dolphin Beach.If you decide to learn kitesurfing we will check the conditions and phone you the evening before. The next morning we will check the conditions again and let you know if the course can take place.

We prefer and recommend private lessons as the past and experience has shown that it is much more effective and you learn faster if you have an individual teacher who focuses only on you. The price is a bit higher but it’s worth it!!!
